I’ve been working in the lighting industry for over 10 years.
If there is one thing that I’ve learned during that time, it’s that the industry is constantly changing.
I got into the business at a time when incandescent was old news and compact fluorescent were up-and-coming.
Well, they came. And they’re still here. But they’re on their way out.
What I have never appreciated about compact fluorescent (CFL) lamps, is that they contain mercury, and thus come with a detailed set of instructions concerning disposal, and how to safely clean up after a broken light bulb.
Yeah, I’d rather avoid that whole mess.
LED lights, on the other hand, do not pose the same threat, and last much longer.
In recent years, the over-heating issues that once plagued LED lamps have been resolved.
And best of all, there are so many types of LED lights to choose from!
This site is all about promoting the LED lamps that I recommend the most, for each application.
